Krav Maga uses techniques based on the body's gross motor skills, body mechanics and reflexes, rather than highly technical moves which may be difficult to apply under pressure. Courses aim to teach concepts such as physical and situational awareness, striking and blocking techniques, break falling, defending against chokes, punches, kicks and ground attacks; techniques for defending against bear hugs, arm grabs and headlocks, and importantly, how to deal with an overpowering attacker.
